Accommodation & Facilities
Barbar is a two-storey building characterized by white Yogya stone-walls, cream terrazzo tiled floors, lime washed timbers and a colonnaded walkway. There is also a single-storey guest wing which is linked to the main building. Barbar is build using modern and minimalist concept whilst cleverly blending sophisticated elegance with the ambience of the setting. It genuinely reveals comfort and simplicity, while the interiors unobtrusively introduce natural materials, fabrics, and colours. Respectively, Barbar offer you with six luxurious bedrooms each carrying differ name and characterization. All bedroom in Babar has access to witnessing the impressive natural view that become the proud of this villa, whether it over the mountains, rice fields, garden, ocean and moreover, much for your delight is all direction panoramic vista for master bedroom.
Babar is what the master bedroom called. It characterized with the glass doors on two sides, enabling access from both sides of the building. This master bedroom is furnished with a King-size bed as it fitted with a deep mattress on a base of antique ironwood planks. There is also hanging space, a fitted sideboard, and a desk next to a wide window, overlooking the rice fields and Mt Batukau. More the guest can get from this master bedroom is a broad sunny terrace at the front of this room, offering wonderful views of the coastline and the night sky. The en-suite bathroom in the other hand is also accessed through a glass doors, giving over light and airy atmosphere for your bathing experience. It is long and spacious, with picture windows positioned on three sides to maximize the stunning views. The bathroom is fitted with double washbasins, mirrors, a toilet, and double rain showers.
The remaining rooms is the guestroom, one of them located upstairs and overlooking the ocean is The Toraja. The room also featuring a king-size bed and is oriented towards the sea. Toraja also furnished with stone pebble lamps, artefact from Toraja in Sulawesi, and a dressing area and hanging space behind the bed. The adjoining sunny, open-air bathroom is bordered by Yogya stone walls for privacy, yet still offers views of the ricefields and mountains. It is fitted with a bathtub for two in a cream terrazzo surround, twin washbasins, a large wall mirror and a toilet. There is also a raindrop shower open to the sky, complete with a handheld shower.
Second is called The Asmat. This guestroom is located on the ground floor and the same with The Toraja is facing the ocean. With glass doors on its three sides The Asmat also give access to the pretty corner of the garden with collection of stone statues from Sumba. Inside, the room is furnished with a king-size bed, coffee wood lamps and a shelf and storage unit immediately behind the bed. The adjoining garden bathroom is fitted with a bathtub for two with a huge, cream terrazzo surround, twin ceramic washbasins, a walk-in raindrop shower with the additional provision of a handheld shower, carved wall mirrors and a toilet hidden behind a low louvre door. The private garden features a small lawn, planted with torch ginger, shrubs and palms.
The Dayak guestroom is a spacious family room on the upper floor facing the ocean. It furnished with two king-size beds and features hanging and storage space, and two sets of sliding glass doors at the front. Befitting it’s title, this room is decorated with artifact from the Borneo's legendary headhunters, the Dayak tribesmen, who inhabit Kalimantan's deep interior highlands. The ensuite bathroom appear with same design and facilities like that adjoining the Toraja guestroom.
Move further to the next room in Babar, here it is The Agung and The Ganesha. These two guestrooms are located in the single-storey wing adjacent to the main two-storey building as one is reflecting the other both in facilities and in design of the room. The two also furnished with twin beds that can be pushed together, and features built-in hanging space in one corner and storage shelves behind the bed. Completed the rooms is gardens on two sides of the room that can be accessed through the sliding glass doors. Still about garden, the bathroom of these two rooms arranged carefully to create natural bathing experience as it formed into a pretty garden bathroom. Both are fitted with twin washbasins, a toilet and a raindrop shower that is open to the stars.
